Wounded War Heroes benefit set this Friday in Mandeville

SLIDELL – Tickets and sponsorship’s are still available for the third annual Wounded War Heroes fundraising banquet that will be held at the Castine Center in Mandeville this Friday, June 16 from 5:30 to 11 p.m.
The annual fundraising banquet is not only a time to raise money for the group, which has already assisted over 100 veterans this year, but will also include a tribute program to veterans, a highlighted war hero and testimonials from Gold Star Families, honoring the legacy of fallen loved one’s heroes.
Sponsorship’s are still being sought from businesses and individuals at $1,000, $3,000 and $5,000 levels to assist the 501(c)(3) organization with tax deductible donations. Tickets are also still available for $50 per person.

Started three years ago, the organization is there to assist veterans who return home from conflict with injuries of any kind. Not only does the organization help them with financial and physical needs, but perhaps more importantly, helps them return to life in their former world through a connection to the outdoors. It is that obstacle after war injuries that is sometimes the most difficult thing for men and women who have dealt with the ravages of war.
Sponsorships include a table for eight, plus promotion through the advertising of the event and the night of the fundraiser. It also includes entry into some outstanding raffle specials that will be offered. Dinner is provided and live music will be performed by Harvey Jesus and Fire.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Castine Center with the title sponsor The Riecke Family of Companies, as well as banquet sponsors American Bank and Trust, SECO Properties, Gulf South Real Estate Management Group, Dynamic Physical Therapy and VCI Project Management.
Among many outstanding raffle items there are also silent and live auctions that include guns, trips and sports memorabilia.
