PR grad Ross ends softball season at Louisiana College

PINEVILLE – Pearl River High graduate Alyssa Ross just finished her sophomore season playing on the Louisiana College Lady Wildcat softball team in Pineville, Louisiana.
She played for coach Joe Harris while at Pearl River High School and was a four-year starter for the Lady Rebels.
She was a member of the 1st Team All-District squad and was the Golden Glove award winner (2014-2015).
In 2014, she was the Defensive MVP and was All-District Honorable Mention in 2013.
She was also chosen as the MVP in the 18u Fast Nationals in 2013.
In her freshman year, she made 18 appearances as a pinch runner and scored six runs and stole one base.
This year she started in 11 games and had 28 at-bats with five hits. She scored nine runs, walked once and stole five bases ending the season with a .179 batting average.
She is the daughter of John and Ellie Ross and is majoring in Physical Education.
