Irene Hulin “Dee” King passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013.
She was 70 years.
She was the wife of the late Richard L. King Sr.; mother of Lillian “Renee” Sturn (Gregory), Mary Palomino (Pedro), Toni King, Richard King Jr., Clayton King (Lindsey) and Whitney King and the late Wesley King; daughter of the late Claude Hulin and Lillie Mae Toney Hulin; and sister of Floyd “Boo” Hulin, Joseph Hulin and the late James Barker.
She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday, August 1 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 at 11 a.m. with visitation on Thursday morning from 9 to 11 a.m.

Debra Lynn Ard passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013.
She was 51 years old.
She was the wife of the late Jonas Ard III; mother of Joseph Aaron Ard, Justin Daniel Ard and Joshua Jerald Ard; mother-in-law of Ashley Linn Palmer; daughter of Eugene G. and Lucille B. Guardia; sister of Glenn D. Guardia; and grandmother of Juliahna Lou and Jacie Erin Ard.
She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Folsom since 1974.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 29 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington.

Cora Reiser Reilly passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013.
She was 96 years old.
She was the wife of the late William T. Reilly; daughter of the late John I. Reiser and Ida Mae Edwards Reiser.
She owned and operated three different businesses in her lifetime and worked in three different banks. She retired in 1968 from First National Bank of Commerce in New Orleans. She was a member of American Legion Post 16 in Covington, AARP #3086 in Mandeville, VOA, Council of Aging, Mandeville Senior Citizens, was a volunteer at St. Tammany Parish Hospital and was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mandeville.
All who cared for Reilly are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, August 2 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, at 1 p.m. with visitation on Friday from 12 until 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.

Agnes Louise Kloster Duplessis passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013.
She was 95 years old.
Duplessis was a resident of Abita Springs since 1980, and was born in Mellen and grew up in Omro, Wisconsin.
She graduated from St. Agnes Hospital School of Nursing in Fond du Lac. After graduation, she decided to move to a then, brand new, Charity Hospital in New Orleans to care for poor, sick children. She worked at Charity for 32 years and retired as the Supervising Registered Nurse for 9th Floor Pediatrics.
She was the wife of the late Leonard Joachim Duplessis; daughter of the late Katarina Kaes and Valentine Kloster; mother of Robert Joseph Duplessis (Olivia) and Leonard James Duplessis (Cyndy); sister of the late Jake, Johnny, Andy, George, Nick, Larry, Anna, Kate and Marie; and grandmother of Lauren, Leah and Alexander.
Duplessis was a member of the Charity Crib Auxiliary, the Abita Springs Garden Club and the Abita Springs Senior Citizens Organization, and had been a volunteer for Operation We Care.
A funeral mass was held at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, on Wednesday, July 31.

John Joseph “Joe” Bozant passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013.
He was 82 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Keim Bozant; children, Diane Bozant Heintzen, Kevin J. Bozant, JoEllen Taylor Chassiniol, and Randall L. Bozant; grandchildren, Christopher Heintzen, Nikolaus Heintzen, Matthew Taylor, and Allison Taylor Hoopes; and four great-granddaughters.
He is predeceased by his parents, John Joseph Bozant and Aurora Holland Bozant of New Orleans.
After graduating from Nicholls High School in New Orleans, he served his country in the National Guard Army Reserve from 1950-1953.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, on Thursday, August 1 at 2 p.m. Visitation from 12 p.m. until service time.

Frances Wall Rogers passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
She was 83 years old.
She was born in Springfield, La. to the late Robert W. Wall and Annie Celma Hunt Wall, and married Frederick L. Rogers on March 13, 1948 in Tylertown, Mississippi. In 1957 she settled in Covington to raise her family.
She was married for 65 years.
She is survived by four children, Cindy Rogers (fiance’ Ken Kahao Jr.), Becky R. Holliday (Derrell), Randy Rogers (Julie) and Fred D. Rogers (Dodie); brother, Darrel Wall; nine grandchildren, Holly Flattmann, Austin Green (Tia), Carrie Granier (Michael), Jolleen Post, Clint Holliday (Becky), Amanda Spinks (Russ), Sarah Francingues, Allison Rogers, and Aime Rogers; and 16 great-grandchildren, Julia, Layne, Caleb, Randi Lynn, Reagan, Michael, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Emma, Ella, Raelynn, Christian, Taylor, Roman, Remy, and Levi.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Trilbey Moss; and one brother, Vernon “Bud” Wall.
Funeral services were held on August 3 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Deborah Ann Hays recently passed away peacefully at the age of 62.
She was the daughter of the late N. Alan Hays and Marcelene Voznica Hays.
Hays spent most of her life in St. Tammany Parish and met many of her longtime friends while attending St. Scholastica Academy, Covington High School, LSU, and SLU.
A memorial mass was held on Saturday, August 3 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mandeville.
During a private ceremony, she will be laid to rest next to her parents at the Mandeville Cemetery.

Gary Jude Russo Sr., resident of Tickfaw, La., passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013, at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans.
He was 67 years old.
He was born in New Orleans, and was married to Linda Ann Savarino on October 18, 1966.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Ann Savarino Russo; brothers, Raymond L. Russo and Roland M. Russo; sister, Blanche Russo Demma; daughter-in-law, Michelle Mims Russo; and two grandsons, Andrew Mims and Justin Chad Russo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Russo and Mary Klein Russo; sister, Carolyn (Bookie) Russo Scarian; and son, Gary Jude Russo Jr.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and self-employed and retired from All Year Round Landscaping.
A memorial service was held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 90 Gardenia Dr., Covington, on August 3.

Bruce A. Terrell passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013, in Covington.
He was 64 years old.
A native of Bogalusa, he was a resident of Chalmette for more than 50 years before moving to Covington in 2006.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diane Suprean Terrell; two daughters, Leslie Terrell Salinero (Christian) and Kellie Terrell Strawley (Jason); parents, Ubert and Nanetta Terrell; brother, Aubrey Terrell; mother-in-law, Myrtle Suprean.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Keith Terrell.
Terrell was an active member of First English Lutheran Church of Metairie. A professionally licensed civil engineer, Bruce retired from a distinguished 38-year career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, having most recently held the position of Chief of Construction Division upon his retirement.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, August 7 at First English Lutheran Church, 3701 Cleary Ave., Metairie, LA 70002.

Gary Louis Bienvenu Sr., passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013.
He was 75 years old.
He was born in New Orleans to George Louis and Lucille Devenport Bienvenu and was a resident of Covington.
He was the husband of Ruth Constanzer Bienvenu. He is survived by sons, Dr. Gary L. Bienvenu Jr., Richard E. Bienvenu, Matthew D. Bienvenu Sr. and Gregory L. Bienvenu Sr.; sister, Georgiana Bienvenu; and five grandchildren, Kristin, Brett, Matthew Jr., Amanda and Gregory Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Brent E. Bienvenu.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 at Covington Presbyterian Church, 222 S. Jefferson St., Covington.
The family will receive guests in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
