Georgia Ann Wilburn passed away on Tuesday night, Oct. 14, 2014, in Slidell.
She was 72 years old.
Wilburn was born in New Orleans, was a resident of Slidell for 20 years, and then lived in Pearlington, Ms. for the past 15 years.
She was the wife of 28 years to the late Jay Wilburn. She was the mother of Bethia Crosby, Donald Gonsulen Jr., Casey Crosby and Amanda Crosby; sister of Jimmy Stiller and the late Linda Stiller; and great-grandmother of Austyn Troulliet, Isak Crosby, Amilyah Gomillion, and Blake Rogers.
A memorial service was held at the 1st Baptist Church in Pearlington.

Claudette Stafford Haley, of Covington, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at her residence.
She was 80 years old.
She was born Thursday, May 24, 1934, in Washington Parish, La. to Eli Stafford and Agnes Passman Stafford.
She is survived by her sons, Russell Haley (Terri), Paul Haley (Janet), and Malcolm Haley (Debbie); daughters, Denise Quave (Paul), Diane Thompson, Debbie Holland (David), Renee Blow (Robert), and Joetta Revere (David); sister, Udine Jenkins; brother, Raymond Stafford; 18 grandchildren; 29 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband of 54 years, Percy Matthew Haley; greatgranddaughter, DeAnn Quave; and sisters, Elaine Revere and Jeanette Rich.
A funeral service was held on Oct. 22 at Tammany Hills Baptist Church, 70380 I Street, Covington, 70433.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Tammany Hospice, 1202 South Tyler St., Covington, LA 70433.

Kathryn Nelson Hanners passed away on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, in Covington.
She was born on July 12, 1915, in Soper, Okla. to the late Wiley Nelson and Eugenia Pickett Nelson.
She was married to husband, the late Francis Marrion “Slim” Hanners for 59 years and together they had two children, June Kennedy Miestchovich of Metairie, La. and Abita Springs, La. and the late Joneen Hanners Holloway of Cotton Valley, La.
She was the grandmother of David Holloway (Louise), Ocieah Holloway Rasbury (the late Tommy), and Clarence Holloway. She leaves behind four great-grandchildren and nine great-great-randchildren. She was the middle sister of 10 children raised in Wellington, TX.
Hanners was a life member of The Eastern Star of Louisiana Grand Chapter – 141 William D White Chapter. She was a strong supporter of the Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport.
The family will have a graveside service at Springhill Cemetery in Springhill, La.

Louis Arthur “Audie” Bachemin Jr passed away on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, surrounded by his family at home in Covington.
He was born on February 15, 1939 in New Orleans to the late L. Arthur Bachemin and Henrietta Louise Bauder.
He was married to wife, Sybil Darlene Faust Bachemin for 54 years and together they had four children, Shelly Elaine Bachemin, Stephanie Ann Bachemin, the late Arthur Edward Bachemin and Louis Arthur Bachemin III.
He was the grandfather of Erin Darlene Caruso and Abbey Elaine Caruso.
Bachemin was a 32° Mason with the A&A Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. He served as a member of the Andrew Jackson Lodge #428, the St. Bernard Sportsmans League, the Coastal Conservation Association, and Huerstel’s Social Club. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Chalmette, La. and St. Matthew the Apostle in Perkinston, Ms.
A funeral Mass was held on?Oct. 20 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington.

Dorothy Ann Massey Wall passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014.
She was the wife of the late Karol Nelson Wall for 40 years; mother of Leigh Anne Wall, Valerie Jean Sikora and Nancy Elizabeth Wall; mother-in-law of Jeffrey Alan Sikora; grandmother of Kelly Nicole Sikora and William Karol Sikora; and sister of Gladys June Frueh and the late Alma Scates and Emma Smith Overton.
Wall was born on May 26, 1933, in Mulberry Grove, Ill. to the late Theodore and Freda Massey. She was a current member of Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mandeville, and a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Clinton, Ohio where she served two terms as the first female president of the congregation.
She ran five marathons after the age of 65, including the New York City Marathon at the age of 75.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton St., Port Clinton, OH, on Oct. 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St, Port Clinton, OH, on October 25 at 11 a.m. with burial at Riverview Cemetery immediately following the service.
A memorial service will be held at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mandeville at a later date.

Alma Rita Perkins Silvan was born June 11, 1942, and passed away on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014.
She was 72 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Perkins Sr. and Lolitha Cousin Perkins; husband, Charles R. Silvan Sr.; and one brother, Richard J. Perkins Sr.
She graduated from Covington Rosenwald School in May 1960 and attended Tulane. She married Charles R. Silvan Sr. and from that union they had three children, Lennie Morrison, Yolanda Moneta Nixon (Mitchell) and Charles Jonathan Silvan (Laura).
She is survived by brothers, Grover Perkins Sr., Adrian Perkins (Frankie), Frank Perkins Jr. and Carl Perkins (Vanessa); sisters, Aleta Perkins Silvan, Mary Perkins Cyprian, Sandra P. Graves (Paul), Lolitha Perkins Beckham and Kim Phillips (Dewayne); seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Retiring in July of 1997, she returned home to Covington.
A funeral Mass was held at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, on Oct. 16.

Bennie A. Jenkins, of Covington, passed away on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014.
He was 88 years old.
He was born Sunday, February 7, 1926, in Covington to Earl Jenkins and Zula Sharp Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife, Ola Bourn Jenkins; sons, Robert Jenkins, and Emile Jenkins; daughters, Marlene Paige, and Diane Knight; brother, Wayne Jenkins; nine grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Margie Candies and Myrtle Jenkins; and brother, B.J. Jenkins.
A funeral service was held on Oct. 21 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington.

Richard James Tregre Sr., of Folsom, La., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at Heritage Manor of Franklinton.
He was 71 years old.
He was born Thursday, February 4, 1943, in New Orleans to Plaisance Tregre and Lucille Tregre.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Coco Tregre; son, Keith Tregre; and sister, Laura Sphect.
He was predeceased by his son, Richard Tregre Jr.; father, Plaisance Tregre; and mother, Lucille Tregre.
A graveside service at Lighthouse Baptist Memorial Gardens, 27544 Driftwood Road Folsom, LA 70437, will be held at a later date.
