Adrienne O’Keefe Sweeney passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Pontchartrain Health Care Center in Mandeville.
She was 86 years old.
She was born Saturday, September 22, 1928, in Blond, La. to Judson O’Keefe and Dezzie Sharp O’Keefe.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheryl Annette Sweeney, and Robin Denise Cothern; sons, Larry M. Sweeney, and Joseph D. Sweeney Jr.; uncle, Calvin “Reuben” Sharp; and brothers, Darrell O’Keefe (Janet), and Arnold O’Keefe (Elsie).
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Sweeney; parents; and brother, Gary O’Keefe.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington.

Ruth Thompson Fussell passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015.
She was 81 years old.
She was the wife of the late Reuben Leon Fussell; mother of Stephen Ryan Fussell (Christine) and Barton Dale Fussell (Elsa); daughter of the late Susan Cox Thompson and Albert Thompson; sister of Yvonne Graham, Glenda Godeau and the late Joe Thompson, Donice Spell and Mary King; and grandmother of Beth, Ryan, Lindsey and Emmy.

Ruth Dillon Donald passed away on Friday, Jan. 3, 2015, in Baton Rouge.
She was born on Wednesday, April 1, 1931, in Tylertown, Ms. to Sally Idalia Ard and Emmett Allen Dillon, and was a resident of Covington since 1965.
She was the wife of the late Robert Weatherspoon Donald Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Ruth Townley (Henry); sons, Robert W. Jr. (Shirley) and Michael B. Donald (Melissa); grandchildren, Katherine “Kitty” Ione Poulin (Jeff), Robert W. “Rob” III and Janie Idalia Donald, Mackenzie Donald; and great-grandchildren, Aaron Lee and Leah Faith Poulin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Robert “Lee” Townley; five brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 2 at First United Methodist Church, 203 N. Jefferson Ave. Covington.

George Howard Camp passed away on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, in Slidell.
He was born in Madisonville on Thursday, September 8, 1955, and lived most of his life there before moving to Slidell 18 years ago.
He was the son of the late Elouise Mary Bealer and Thomas Wesley Camp Sr.
He is survived by sister, Mary Camp Strain; brothers, Leslie Milton Camp (Joan), Sidney Larry Camp and Adrian Edward Camp (Paula); niece and nephew, Donna Strain Lajaunie and William “Terry” Lajaunie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Thomas Wesley Camp Jr. and Emory Morris Camp.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 2 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington.

George Stephen Drinkard passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, in Covington.
He was born on June 30, 1934, in New Orleans to the late John M. Drinkard and Eleanor Williamson Drinkard.
He is survived by his brother, Blanding V. Drinkard Sr.; and sister-in-law, Clare Cooper Drinkard.
He was predeceased by his grandmother, Mellie Elizabeth Williamson; and brothers, John E. Drinkard Sr., D. Max Drinkard Sr., and Bertram F. Drinkard.
He served as member of the U. S. Army. He was a Master Mason with Covington Lodge #188.
Graveside services were held on Jan. 31 at Waldheim United Methodist Church Cemetery, 77067 Highway 21, Waldheim, La.

Fay Ray Olsen passed away on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015.
She was 79 years old.
She was the mother of Rhonda Stonicher and the late Ronald Olsen Jr.; mother-in-law to Robert Stonicher; daughter of the late Myrtle Grather Ray and John Joseph Ray; sister of John Ray Jr.; grandmother of Brianne Giacona, Brian Nuila, Jessee Olsen, Johnny Olsen, Kristen Olsen Birtch and Kirk Stonicher; and great-grandmother of Adam Olsen, Jacob Olsen, Samantha Olsen, Lacee Birtch and Nathaniel Nuila.
She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of the northshore since the early eighties where she was a co-founder of Rag’s Old Fashioned Po-boys.

George Wade Bigner passed away peacefully at his home in Folsom on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015.
He was born on July 8, 1940, in Alexandria, La. to Mildred and Clifton Bigner and grew up in Pollock, La.
He moved his family to Louisiana in 1985 to work at Zatarain’s. He has lived in Folsom since 1999.
Bigner was the husband of Bonnie Higginbotham Bigner for 51 years.
He is survived by three children: daughters, Tracy Kay Bigner Knutsen (Bill) and Marnie Elizabeth Bigner George (Chris); son, Wade Robert Bigner (Renee); sister, Sarah Ann Bigner Kaser (Walt); and grandchildren, Olivia Bigner, Mitchell and Cierra George, and Wyatt and Blake Bigner.
His parents preceded him in death.

Elizabeth Kay Files passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015.
She was 73 years old.
She was the wife of 50 years to Mark W. Files; mother of Patrick M. Files (McLaurin) of Chicago and Jennifer-Leigh W. Files; daughter of the late Marjorie and James Maltby; sister of Mary Leigh Bradley of Muskogee, Okla.; and grandmother of Margaret Elizabeth and Annelise Caitlin Files.
She was born and raised in Bartlesville, Okla., graduated top of her class from The University of Oklahoma and subsequently received a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of New Orleans.
A resident of Covington since 1981, she was very involved with Playmakers Theatre.
Memorial services were held on Jan. 31 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington.

She was 61 years old.
She was born in Covington.
She is survived by her daughter, Amber Joiner Faciane (Frankie Sr.); companion, Benjamin Mayhan; brother, Richard Reysack; sister, Jody Davenport; uncle, Lee Cox; granddaughter, Makayla Wilson; grandson, Christopher Wilson Jr.; granddaughter, Faijah Faciane; and grandson, Francis Faciane Jr.
She was predeceased by her mother, Emma Lou Reysack.
