Howard Ricks Fussell passed away on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, in Covington.
A native of North Tangipahoa Parish, he was born on Tuesday, July 13, 1937, to Edna Ricks and Freler Fussell.
He was the husband of Laura Varnado Fussell.
He is survived by sons, Jeffrey F. Fussell (Kelly), Howard Michael Fussell (Shannon) and Stephen L. Fussell (Jill); brothers, Harold L. Fussell (Bettye) and Paul F. Fussell (Delphine); nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
His parents preceded him in death.
He went on to earn his J.D. from LSU, joining the law firm of Barranger, Barranger and Jones in 1968. Although retiring in 2009, Fussell remained close to his Jones Fussell family. He sang with the First Baptist Church Celebration Singers, Christwood Singers and the First Methodist Church choir, where he was a member.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours are scheduled to take place Friday, Feb. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. and also on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.
Immediately following Saturday’s service, the Fussell family would like to invite everyone to join them at the Covington Lion’s Club to raise a glass in celebration of Howard and a life well lived.

Edith “Tucky” Eskrigge Pearce, of Mandeville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington.
She was 77 years old.
She was born in New Orleans and moved to the Northshore in 1985 where she became involved in various community organizations.
She is survived by her husband, Richard C. Pearce; sons, Roch Robson deMontluzin, Scott Logan deMontluzin, and King Ellington deMontluzin; daughter, Lizette deMontluzin Evans; step-daughter, Anne Marie Pearce; grandsons, Robson O’Neil Evans and Ryan Christopher deMontluzin; granddaughters, Adelaide Grace Evans and Lauren Alexandra deMontluzin; and sister, Ann Eskrigge Mitchell.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tathum Eskrigge and Stella Wogan Eskrigge.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 25 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington.

Sandra Ann Murphy Ingram passed away on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, in Covington.
She was born on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 1945, in New Orleans to the late Charles William Murphy and Mabel Anna Hall Murphy.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Ingram, of over 50 years; and together they had two children, Tracy I. Delatte (Gerald) and Kevin C. Ingram (Leslie).
She was the grandmother of Aimee A. Delatte (fiancé, Alex E. Soletske), Kayce C. Ingram, Ashleigh P. Magee, Aleisha B. Magee, Taylor G. Tate, and Izzy G. Tate; and was the sister of Paul J. Murphy (Sue).
She was the co-owner of Children’s Chalet Preschool in Mandeville for 21 years
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Liturgy of the Word on Saturday, Feb. 28 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, at 2 p.m. with visitation from 12 p.m. until service time.

Milton Luke Barze Sr., of Madisonville, passed away on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at his residence.
He was 89 years old.
He was born in Madisonville to Henry Barze and Bernadine Baham Barze.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joyce Dupart Barze; son, Milton Luke Barze Jr. (Emily); daughters, Myra C. Leslie (Sylvester), Wanda M. Cavalier (Gerald), and Lisa M. Marshall (Thomas); sisters, Evelyn Hutchinson, Betty Barze, and Sherry Allen; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Theodore Barze Sr., Andrew Barze Sr. and Wilbur Barze; and sister, Teresa Hutchinson.
He was a home builder, belonged to the Knights of Columbus, was an usher at St. Anselm Catholic Church and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
A funeral Mass was held on Feb. 24 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary St. Madisonville.

Mary Catherine Regan passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015.
She was 84 years old.
She was the daughter of the late Selena Flashner Regan and Joseph Regan; and sister of the late Rita Regan Louiviere and Joseph Regan Jr.
She was a graduate of Sacred Heart of Jesus High School in New Orleans. She is retired from BellSouth after 43 years of service and was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Crescent City Council.
She was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity STW for 24 years where she founded the Habitat Home Store in Covington. She resided in Christwood Retirement Community in Covington.
A funeral Mass was held on Feb. 16 at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, La.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mary Catherine to be made to Habitat For Humanity St. Tammany West.
