Stephen Montgomery Hinman passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 after a long battle with cancer.
He was 82 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol Ann Hinman; brother, Stanley Hinman; daughters, Elizabeth and Alice (Jon); sons, Michael (Lisa) and David (Sharon); grandchildren, Crystal, Melissa, Lindsay, Philip, Shawn (Victoria), Claire, Kaeley, Carly, Tristan, Michael and Ian; and great-grandchildren, Aliya, Laken and Brody.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Mangan; father, Gage Justus Hinman; sister, Shirley Compher; and half-brother, Al Mangan.
He was a native of Quincy, California and grew up in Oakland, California. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was present on the USS Bairoko for the first H-Bomb test at the Bikini Atoll.
After graduating from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelors degree, he worked for more than 30 years as a pharmaceutical salesman and manager.
He was a member at various times of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and officer of the local WBCCI Airstream Club unit and the national USS Bairoko Association.
Services were held on Dec. 2 at EJ Fielding Funeral Home in Covington.

Lois Guimont Buddy, of Covington, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.
She was 91 years old.
She was born in New Orleans to Albert Guimont and Rose Guimont.
She is survived by her son, Edward Buddy (Kathleen); grandson, Robert E. Buddy (Amanda); granddaughters, Angela T. Buddy, and Emily R. Buddy; and sister, Vera G. Dorsa (late John).
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Edward R. Buddy; sister, Beatrice G. Lacerva (late Albert); and brother, Earl Guimont (late Vera).
She was a native of New Orleans, a longtime resident of Chalmette and a resident of Covington for the past three years. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Altar Society and involved with the St. Bernard Council on Aging.
A funeral Mass was held on Nov. 29 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington.

James Vincent “Jim” Montz Jr. passed away on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, in Covington.
He was born on September 18, 1942, in New Orleans to the late James Vincent Montz Sr. and Clementine Verriere Montz.
He was married to Yvette Marshall Montz for 49 years and together they had three children, Dan J. Montz (Tina), Dr. Nancy C. Montz (Dr. Kirk Campbell), and David V. Montz (Mitzi).
He was the brother of Ronald C. Montz (Pamela), Gayle M. Odum, and Judy Montz.
He graduated from Nicholls State University in 1969 with a B.A. in Education. He served as a member of the U.S. Navy-Reserve C.B. Unit. He worked for LP&L-Entergy as a Right-of-Way Agent for 25 years.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 26 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4465 Highway 190 East Service Rd., Covington.

Robert “Bobby” Feske passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, in Covington.
He was 47 years old.
He was the son of Mary R. Feske and the late William “Bill” Robert Feske; brother of Elizabeth Feske, David Feske (Mariann), Annette Lagrange (Jerry), Melissa Atreides (Sean-Paul) and Ronald Feske (Becky) and the late William Robert Feske Jr. (Julia); uncle of Laura Feske, Ashley Bivona, Craig Singletary, David Paul Feske, Jyl Feske, Abi Feske, Brian Feske, William R. Feske III, Jerry Michael Lagrange, Brett Lagrange, Brandon Lagrange, Derek Feske and Angela Chatellier; and great-uncle of Isabella, Evelina and Harper.
He was the owner/operator of Precision Auto of Mandeville for 20 years.
A wake was held on Nov. 28 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington.

Anne Louise Poole White passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, in Mandeville.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Penn. on Wednesday, February 5, 1936, to Nanny Bratcher and Albert Poole. For over 40 years she lived in El Paso, Texas before moving to Mandeville in 2013.
She was the wife of the late William M. White.
She is survived by daughters, Laurene D. Matthews (Bruce A. Matthews) and Marilyn M. Roberts (late Earl B. Roberts); sisters, Delorus Dodson and Shirley Daniely; grandchildren, Raymond Gilmore, Chris M. and Jonathan S. Mullins; and daughter-in-law, Sheila McCord.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Calvin D. McCord Jr.; sister, Pearl Mitchell; brother, Robert Poole; and grandson, Calvin D. McCord III.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 26 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington.

Mary Ann Jenkins Andry passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 11, 2014, at her home in Kentwood, La.
She was 56 years old.
She had been battling lung and bone cancer since 2011.
She was the first daughter to the late Frank Lamar and Mary Elizabeth Jenkins.
Andry was a longtime resident of Abita Springs, La. where she attended Abita Springs Jr. High School. She also attended CHS in Covington.
Andry is survived by her husband of 33 years Michael Patrick Andry; sons, Timothy Lewis Revere Jr. and Michael Patrick Andry Jr.; and grandchildren, Lacey and Blake Revere and Trace and Trevor Andry.
She is also survived by her sisters, Brenda Jenkins Ledet and Diann Phelps Blackwell; preceded in death by a brother, Albert Leroy Phelps; and a sister Joyce Louise Phelps Smith.
She was employed by Pilot Travel Centers for 14 years.
Visitation was held on Nov. 14 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington.

Gilbert J. Hattier III, a native of New Orleans, passed away on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014.
He was 78 years old.
He was the son of the late Gilbert J. Hattier Jr. and Ramona Heintz Hattier; and brother of Ramona Hincks, Robert L. Hattier, Donald D. Hattier, and the late Richard A. Hattier.
He leaves behind Gwen Hattier, Gilbert J. Hattier IV (wife Mattie), Rebecca Veasey; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Bryant Samuel Waldrop passed away on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, in Covington.
He was born on February 4, 1927, in Chatham, La. to the late Stephen Eugene Waldrop and Elizabeth Pankey Waldrop.
He was married to his wife, the late Mary Littell Waldrop for 60 years, and together they had six children, Deborah Waldrop, David Waldrop, Yvonne Sleger (Mike), Elaine Conrad, Steven Waldrop (Virginialea), and the late William Waldrop.
He leaves behind 12 grandchildren and fivegreat-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by six siblings.
Waldrop served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a devoted member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years. He was a petroleum engineer and retired from Schlumberger after 45 years.
A memorial service was held on Oct. 23 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.
