Patrick Michael Donelon, aka (P.D., Rack, and Dancing Bear) passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016.
He was 70 years old.
He was born December 3, 1946. Pat was a lifelong resident of Harahan, La., the town he loved and served as Alderman. He attended St. Rita School, Redemptorist High School, Nicholls State University and LSU. He received an honorable discharge after serving six years in the 377th TACOM Army Reserve.
Pat is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marie Donelon; brother, Michael J. Donelon Sr. and Pam Donelon.
He is survived by his brothers, Thomas G. Donelon (Gaynell) and Terrence J. Donelon (Catherine); sisters, Mary Frances Donelon Camet (Oran), BridgetDonelon Susick (Michael), a host of nieces, nephews, grand nephews and grand nieces, whom he dearly loved.
Pat was fondly called “Uncle Pat” by everyone even if you were not related to him. Pat’s passions included family, skiing, and cooking, especially for fundraisers. Pat was a past member of St. Rita’s Dad’s Club, Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge. He will be missed by the hundreds of lives he touched over the course of 70 years.
On a personal note, the family sends a special “thank you” to his cherished friends at Roy’s: “We appreciate your help during his last days.”
A memorial Mass was held at St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church, 7118 Jefferson Hwy, Harahan, La., on Saturday, December 17.

Shannon Marie Sider passed away gracefully on Tuesday morning, December 20, 2016.
She was 44 years old.
She was the daughter of the late Leo Albert Sider Jr. and Maureen Catherine Smith; granddaughter of the late Charles and Evelyn Smith; great-granddaughter of the late Joseph Cyril Sider and Marguerite Metzler Sider; sister of Betty Bryant Colombo (Dana); aunt of Daniel Colombo (godson), Jason Colombo and their girlfriends Tori and Merritt; godmother of Landen Luparello and Grace Durel; cousin of Pamela Wood, Ashley Luparello (Joey) and Joseph and Rita Lopinto, their children and grandchildren; and best friend of Rebecca (Becky) Gherty.
She is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends.
Interment will be held at a later date.

William C. Schayot, of Slidell, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016.
He was 85 years old.
He was the beloved husband of Jewel L. Schayot; loving father of Libby Ann Schayot; Kim Marie Schayot; William C. Schayot, Jr. (Denise); and Leonard Ray Schayot (Lynn); and son of the late James H. Schayot and Irma Meyer Schayot.
He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
William was a U.S. Navy Veteran in the Korean Conflict.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd, Slidell, on Thursday, December 22 at 12 p.m.
Interment will follow in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell.
Visitation at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church will be on Thursday, Dec. 22 from 10 a.m. until funeral time at 12 p.m.

Gary Joseph Arnoult Jr., of Slidell, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016.
He was 51 years old.
He was the father of Elle Lee Arnoult, and Devin Wray Arnoult; grandfather of Audley Joseph Thompson; and brother of Monique Owen, and Patrice Arnoult.
Gary was a native of New Orleans; former resident of Harahan; and a resident of Slidell, for the past 27 years.
Memorial services were held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd, Slidell, on Wednesday, December 21.
