Leslie Ann MartinoLeslie Ann Martino of Covington died on Thursday, April, 27, 2017 at her home.
She was 35 years of age.
She is survived by her parents, Earl Edward Martino and Linda Gale West Martino.
She was predeceased by her grandfather – Earl Martino; grandmother – Amelia Martino; grandfather – Delby West; and grandmother – Emily West.
A native of New Orleans, she was a graduate of Mandeville High School and Loyola University of New Orleans.
A funeral mass was held at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington, on Wednesday, May 03, 2017.



Joyce Houlemard NicholasJoyce Houlemard Nicholas passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at her home in Madisonville.
She was 72 years of age.
She was born on August 27, 1944 in New Orleans, LA to the late Harold A. Houlemard and Mae Staes Houlemard.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 52 years, Vincent Joseph Nicholas; was the mother of Keith Nicholas (Joy Melanda), Jill Nicholas (George Paxson, Jr.), Michele Alexis (Eugene Alexis), Cheryl Espinal (George Espinal), Anthony Nicholas and Matthew Nicholas.
She was the grandmother of Keith Michael, Samantha, Sydney, and Dylan Nicholas, Benjamin, Rachel, and Julia Paxson, Brittanie, Darian, and Conner Alexis, Amy, Caitlin, George, Allison, Sierra, and Elise Espinal, Jaiden and Peyton Nicholas; and the great-grandmother of Adalai, Kaiya, Jaiden, Adonios, Madison, Jordan, and Jacqueline. She was the sister of Jeanette West (David), Sylvia Baham (the late Rodney), Harold Houlemard (Nora), Noel Travers (James), and Irene Houlemard.
Joyce loved to win at cards and games. She loved to dance, joke, and laugh.
A Funeral Mass was held at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary St., Madisonville on Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
Interment at Madisonville Cemetery.
A donation in the name of Joyce H. Nicholas may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,



Robert John BrownRobert John Brown of Mandeville died on Saturday, April 29, 2017. He was 64 years of age.
He is survived by his wife – Cheryl Keen Brown; Step-Daughters – Jill Walder Jenkins (Andrew), Becki Ruffino (Jason) and Tina Marie; Step-Son – Scott Raiford (Melissa); and grandchildren Rex, Kai, Jon, Tristan, Emmy, Aly and Kaitlyn.
He was predeceased by his Father – John Robert Brown, and Mother – Cecilia Delores Rholdon Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 05, 2017 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington.
Visitation on Friday from 9 a.m. to service time.
A private inurnment will take place at a later date in the family tomb in St. Louis #3 Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.


Frances Moore McIntyreFrances Moore McIntyre met her husband of 45 years, Louis “Cooney” McIntyre at the Gates of Heaven on Saturday, April 29, 2017.
She was 82 years of age.
She was a lifelong resident and native of the town of Abita Springs. Frances was very involved in her community, serving as an educator, librarian at the Abita Springs branch for 10 years, and as an active and dedicated member to her church. As a founding member of Tammany Hills Baptist Church, her relationship with God was a driving force behind her accomplishments as the Director of the Women’s Missionary Union, being a Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years, filling the role as lead Alto in the Church choir, and organizing and teaching many Vacation Bible Schools and other events.
She is survived by her children: Christine McIntyre, Glenda McIntyre Flot (Husband Coleman), Vincent McIntyre (Wife Suzette LeGrand), Charlette McIntyre Flott (Husband Roger); her sister Mary Moore Lundberg; grandchildren Deanna McIntyre O’Berry (husband Charles Alan), Amanda Barrio (husband Charles), Aspen Luc, Arianne Hughes, William “Billy” Hughes, Catherine Whitacre (Husband Victor), Beverly Sanders (Husband Sean), Cara Flott and Justin Flott; Great-Grandchildren Johnathan Schimke (wife Meghan), Caleb Schimke, Rowan Schimke, Emaleth O’Berry, Graci Barrio, Tyler Barrio, Kayla Revere, Melody Revere, Faith Johnson, Crystal Johnson, Cyrus Binnings, Jakob Binnings, Bella Snowden, Steve McIntyre, Alvin Blow, Zoë Jenkins; and Great-Great-Grandson, Alexander LeBlanc.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Patrick and Ellen “Helen” Elaine Moore; husband of 45 years, Louis “Cooney” McIntyre; brothers John Steven and Harvey Ellis Moore; Sister-in-law Ethel McIntyre Clarain, and Son-in-law Lawrence Coleman Flot III.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington.
A wake is scheduled to take place Friday, May 5, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. with visiting hours on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
Interment at the Abita Springs Cemetery will immediately follow services.
