raineyCorey Michael Rainey of Folsom passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017.
He was 29 years of age.
He was the son of Marjorie Baham and Orige Michael Rainey; and brother of Rhonda R. Taylor (Perry), Jason M. Rainey, Aaron S. Rainey (Stephanie) and Melanie R. Jennings (Jon). Also, grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rainey, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Baham.
A funeral mass was held on June 7, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Folsom.
Interment at the Baham Cemetery in Folsom.

 

Clifford Louis Brown passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017.
He was 86 years of age.
He was the husband of Shirley Jones Brown; father of Margaret Brown Wilcox (Rob), Angela Brown Montgomery (Donald) and Clifford Lawrence Brown; and son of the late Angelina Giacona Brown and Clifford Leland Brown.
Also, brother of Leland T. Brown and Will Sibbald; and grandfather of Margaret Claire Montgomery, Donna Lynn Montgomery, Greyson Wilcox, Justine Brown, Jazamine Brown and Clifford S. Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 12 noon with visitation at church on Thursday beginning at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests masses or donations in memory of Mr. Brown to be made to Covington Food Bank or St. Peter St. Vincent de Paul Society.

 

newman gainesNewman F. Gaines passed away at home on Monday, May 29, 2017.
He was 77 years of age.
A native of St. Tammany Parish, he lived in Folsom for many years before moving to Slidell in 1969.
He was the husband of the late Carolyn Tyrney Gaines; father of B. Keith Gaines (Nancy), D. Wayne Gaines (Rosemary), Sheri Gaines Sinopoli (Keith Morris) and Misti Gaines St. Pierre (Jerry); and brother of Alfred M. Gaines (late Sarah), Elaine Gaines Tyrney (Lynn Rivet), Merty Gaines Fitzmorris (Ricky) and Myrtlelee Gaines Hyatt (Danny).
Also grandfather of Allison Gaines Gibson (Scott) and Amanda Gaines Vigreux (Ryan), Kevin W. (Ashlee), Christopher J. and Caleb A. Gaines, Franki Sherri Hunt (Jules, Jr.), Joshua D-J. St. Pierre, Josiah C. and Rome’a N. St. Pierre; and great-grandfather of Madison L. and Sadie L Gibson, Harper and Ila Gaines and Jules Lincoln Hunt III.
His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.
Interment at the Douglas Cemetery in Madisonville.

richard duvieilhRichard “Rick” Lawrence Duvieilh of Bush passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017.
He was 62 years of age.
Duvieilh was a Louisiana native and resident of Bush for the past three years. He graduated from Chalmette High School in 1972 and later received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from University of New Orleans. He obtained his professional engineering license and was most recently employed with Alion Science and Technology where he served as senior project engineer specializing in marine automation systems.
He was the husband of 39 years to Karen Bossenmeyer Duvieilh; father of Kevin Duvieilh (Diana); and son of Gloria Bourgeois Duvieilh and the late Camile L. Duvieilh, Jr.
Also, brother of Debbie Lee (Robert), Judy D. Gomila, Warren Duvieilh (Terry), Terry Duvieilh (Candace), and Mary D. Jeanfreau (Frederick II).
A funeral mass was held on June 6, 2017 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.
Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

CARLOS WILLIAMSCarlos William Miller, Sr. passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017.
He was 89 years of age.
Miller served in the U.S. Army, but later retired as a Supervisor from Osteen Construction.
He was the husband of Patricia Hunt Miller for 48 years; father of Eddie Joe Miller, and Tammie Miller; and grandfather of Pvt. Christopher Bevels, Taylor Bevels, Jordan Bevels and Cameron Miller.
Also, brother of Hazel Jarrell, Vondell Powell, DiDi Pulling and the late Velma Cooper, Marie Williams and Maxine Tillman; and preceded in death by his parents.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 9 at Collins Boulevard Baptist Church, 1501 Collins Boulevard Covington.
A wake is scheduled for Thursday, June 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington.
Visitation at the church on Friday will begin at 10 a.m.
Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow services.
