Amelie Chalaron Yeargain Haller, of Covington, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014.
She was 80 years old.
She was born, Saturday, May 19, 1934, in New Orleans, to Arnold Wesley and Amelie Chalaron Yeargain.
She is survived by daughters, Amelie Polis Sharp (David), Claire Polis Mott (Arthur), and Nina Polis (fiancée Donny DeMarie); son, Arnold Yeargain Polis; granddaughters, Laura Polis, Megan Polis, Brittany Mott, Gabrielle Lacey, and Ainsley Lacey; grandsons, Ethan Mott, Tyler Mott, Steele Lacey, and Cole Lacey; and brother, John W. Yeargain (Kathy).
She was predeceased by husbands, William H. Polis and Raymond J. Haller; brother, Frank Yeargain; and parents.
She was a graduate of Louise S. McGehee School of New Orleans, class of 1952 and the University of Rhode Island.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 24 at Our Lady of The Lake Roman Catholic Church, 395 Lafitte St, Mandeville.

George E. Sticker Jr., of Covington, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.
He was 63 years old.
He was born on Monday, September 10, 1951, in New Orleans to George E. Sticker Sr. and Carleen Capels Sticker.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Howard; children, Nanette Smith, Nicholas Sticker, Neil Sticker, Nina Sticker, Traci Beebe, Robin Kingham, and Sean Finnan; and many grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Linda, nee Hanberg, and wife, Faye, nee Swilley.
Graveside services were held on Sept. 22 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W. 21st Ave. Covington.

Warren Elvin Foster passed away on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014.
He was born on February 13, 1923, in New Orleans.
Foster was the husband of the late Estelle Brizzolara Foster; and brother of the late Edward Foster, Albert Foster, Harold Foster and Myrtle Salsiccia.
Foster served his country in the United States Marine Corp during WWII. He served in Wellington, New Zealand; Tarawa, Gilbert Islands; Hawaiian Islands Area; Saipan, M.I.; Tinian, M.I; Eniwetok, Marshall Islands. He retired in 1983 from South Central Bell after 36 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington.
Visitation on Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. until service time.

John Daniel Malone passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, with his wife by his side.
He was born to Irene Corrigan and A. Kenneth Malone on Friday, June 4, 1948, in Minneapolis, Mn. and has been a resident of Mandeville since 1983.
He was the husband of Jill Diane Anderson Malone.
He is survived by children, Megan A. Malone, Daniel J. Malone (Tara) and Katie I. Malone (Chris Dorman); sister, Marilyn Jeanette Castonguay; and brothers, David P., James K. and Richard M. Malone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Robert E. and Thomas J. Malone.
A memorial service was held on Sept. 23 at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Dr. Mandeville.

Eugene Joseph Christoffer passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014.
He was 81 years old.
He was the husband of the late Frances Bennett Christoffer; son of the late Elizabeth Warne Christoffer and Frederick Christoffer Sr.; and brother of the late Bernadine Christoffer Reis, Althea Christoffer, Delia Christoffer Sallean, Frederick Christoffer Jr. and James Christoffer.
Christoffer was a resident of St. Bernard Parish until Hurricane Katrina when afterwards he moved to Tickfaw. He was a longtime employee of D.H. Holmes and retired from Dilliard’s.
A funeral Mass was held on Sept. 23 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Elton G. Willie, of Folsom, passed away on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, La.
He was 84 years old.
He was born Saturday, February 22, 1930, to Frank Willie and Edna Stevens Willie.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian “Ann” Jones Willie; daughters, Kimberly Enfinger (Charles), Sherry Sticker (Gerald), and Karen Gallagher (Thomas); grandsons, Frank Enfinger, Steve Enfinger, Justin Sticker, Josh Sticker, Thomas Gallagher IV, and Christian Gallagher; granddaughter, Cathy Enfinger; sisters, Velma Bailey, Mary Brewster, and Cindy Swanson; and brother, Ronnie Willie.
He was predeceased by his father and mother; sisters, Ferris Beverly, Verlie Gardner, and Annette Collins; and brothers, Leonard Willie and Alfred Willie.
He was a Mason, volunteer fireman, 4-H, and FFA Booster Clubs, graduate of Covington High School in 1948, retired Steamfitter, and Pipefitters Local 60.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 18 at Bogue Falaya Baptist Church, 78689 Hwy 25 Folsom, La.

Frank Allen Birdsong Sr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, at home in Covington, surrounded by family.
He was 95 years old.
He was born June 12, 1919, in Mayersville, Issaquena County, Ms.
His parents were the late William Herbert Birdsong and the late Julia Pearl Birdsong. He was predeceased by his sister, Julia Pearl Alvarez; and brother, Brigadier General William Herbert Birdsong Jr., US Army Ret.
After graduating from Rolling Fork High School, Bridsong majored in mechanical engineering at then Mississippi State College (now University), was tapped into Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society, graduating in 1940 with a BSME as World War II emerged.
Birdsong became a Major in the U.S. Army Coast Artillery Corps, serving with the Barrage Balloon headquarters.
He was actively involved as a Professional Engineer with the Louisiana Engineering Society, American Society of Heating and Refrigeration Engineers and the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. Frank and his son Edmond co-founded Birdsong Associates, Inc., in 1985, where he worked until full retirement 25 years later, having moved to Covington in 2000.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Frank A., Jr. (Virginia), Sally Jané Woods (John), Edmond K. (Robin); and 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 20 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Ave., Covington.

Ellen Irene Crawford Horn Bangs passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Bush, La. on Friday, July 9, 1926, to Vidalia Jenkins and Charley Crawford.
A lifelong resident of Bush, Bangs was a registered nurse and retired from Southeast Louisiana Hospital in Mandeville after 35 years of dedicated service.
She was the mother of Bobby Bangs (Denise), Steven Bangs and the late Janet Horn Rudesill. She is survived by nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother and eight.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 13 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington, LA 70433.
