Clinton J. Romig passed away on April 30, 2014.
He is survived by the love of his life, Dorothy Gorrondona Romig, his wife of 66 years; and sons, Michael (Cindy), Stephen (Keenan), Clinton James Jr. (Karen), Thomas (Teresa) Christopher (Mary Kay) and Gregory (Angele).
Romig is survived by his 15 grandchildren, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his bother, Jerry; and sister, Mary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton C. Romig and Hyacinth McCabe Romig; and brothers, Ralph, John and Billy.
Romig served in the Pacific Theater in WWII in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was an avid golfer belonging to both Timberlane Country Club, where he was a past president, and Beau Chene Country Club.
Following his retirement, he served for many years as President of the Thomas L. Young Auxiliary, a volunteer organization of the Southeast Louisiana Hospital in Mandeville. He also served Mary Queen of Peace Church as both a lector and Eucharistic Minister.
He served as President of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants and was awarded the prestigious “Lifetime Membership Award” in 2003.
A funeral Mass was held on May 3 at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville.

Hazel Lucille Loyd Heck passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, in Covington.
She was 96 years old.
She was born to the late Louis Sr. and Lillie Johnson Loyd.
She was married to her husband, the late Eddie Evans Heck, for 65 years; and children, Warren Heck (June), Ray Heck (Eyvonne), Douglas Heck (Emily), Sharon Bass (Fred), and Barbara Bernard (James). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Ruth A. Loyd, the late Ezra Loyd, Eldon Loyd, Edith Loyd and Evelyn L. Wright.
She was a member of Shepherd’s Care Ministries.
Funeral services were held on April 26 at Shepherd’s Care Ministries, 20115 Hwy 1081, Covington.

Margaret Pittman Styron passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014, in Covington.
She was born to Isham Elbert and Eva Woodard Pittman, in Wilson, NC.
She was the wife of the late Jack Thomas Styron.
She is survived by daughters, Eva S. McDaniel (Donald) and Linda S. Akers (Robert); sisters, Martha P. Bradley and Frances P. Edgerton; grandchildren, Sharon M. Griffith, Michelle M. Davis, Allison A. LeBlanc, Gregory T. Akers and Kimberly L. Akers; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Chester Arthur Pittman and Isham Elbert Pittman, Jr.; and sister, Ann P. Wade.
Funeral services were held on April 22 at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Dr., Mandeville.

James Leroy Jenkins, Jr. passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 in Covington.
He was 87 years old.
He was born to James Leroy Sr. and Neola Jenkins.
Jenkins was married to his Ella Vee Quave Jenkins for 67 years; and brother of Dewey Lee Jenkins, the late Arthur Jenkins, Warren Jenkins, Louis Jenkins, Paul Jenkins, John Jenkins, Dora Goudey, Neola Goudey, and Merrilee Lamosan.
He was retired from Lone Star Cement, Inc.
Funeral services were held on April 28 at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, 2638 W 15th Ave., Covington.

Michael Casey Knapp passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014, in Lacombe.
He was 44 years old.
He was born to Phyllis Charbonnet Knapp and the late Burton L. Knapp.
He was the brother of Wayne Knapp (Kristy), Suzanne Knapp and Leslie Knapp of Buffalo, NY.
A memorial service was held on May 4 at Mandeville Bible Church, 217 Carroll St., Mandeville.

Joseph Frank Perry, a retired Certified Public Accountant, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014.
He was 89 years old.
He was the husband of the late Ida Mae Gagnet Perry; father of Jeanne Perry Forstall (Paul) and Monique S. Perry (Brian Pray); son of the late Noemie Thibodeaux Perry and Joseph Minus Perry Sr.; brother of the late Margaret P. Stander and Joseph Minus Perry Jr.; and grandfather of Paul “PJ”, Rene’ and Perry Forstall.
Perry was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Covington for the past 50 years where he was a Captain and former King of the Krewe of Olympia. He was also a member of the Bienville Club, the Society of the War of 1812 and the Sons of the American Revolution. He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and a Purple Heart recipient.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Friday, May 9 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, at 12 noon with visitation on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Elaine Bourgeois McMichael passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014.
She was 61 years old.
She was the wife of Jacky L. McMichael; mother of Shawn McMichael Orgeron (David) and Jack H. McMichael (Monica); daughter of the late Bertha Duet Bourgeois and Wilfred Francis Bourgeois Sr.; and sister of Mary Ann Grabert and the late Wilfred F. “Butch” Bourgeois Jr. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on April 2 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.
