Mildred “Midge” Morton Naugle Kilgore passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, in Covington.
She was 91 years old.
She was born on March 12, 1923 in Roe, AR to the late Pete A. and Lula G. Fridell.
Kilgore was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, the late James W. Morton, and husbands Dr. Thomas C. Naugle, and Rev. Robert Kilgore.
She was the mother of Melinda M. Richard (RJ) and the late James W. Morton Jr.
She leaves behind her grandson, Christopher J. Oertling; and step-children, Dr. Thomas Naugle Jr. (Betsy), Julia White (Walter); and their children, Hunter, Millette and the late Thomas White.
Kilgore was a homemaker and an active member of the Union Protestant Church for many years. An advocate for mental health, she worked as a volunteer coordinator at the Southeast Louisiana Hospital.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, August 5 at E. J. Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave, Covington, at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time.
Interment will be held privately after the service in the Mandeville City Cemetery Mausoleum.

Darrel E. Brown passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014, in Madisonville, La.
He was born on October 2, 1991, in New Orleans to Bridget Bush and Alvin Brown.
Brown is survived by his brother, Barry Ross Jr.
He is also survived by his grandparents, Superintendent Herbert and Missionary June Coleman; paternal grandmother, Louise Thompson; uncle, Gerald Colin and his wife Glenda; and aunt, Yolanda Coleman.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Byron Thompson.
Brown began playing football with Abita Recreation and continued at Fontainebleau High School. He earned a full scholarship to Nicholls State University in Thibodeaux, La. where he was the Captain of the Defense for the Colonels.
Brown graduated in 2013 with a BS in Business. After college, he began his career in sales with AFLAC Insurance.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, August 2 at Lakeshore Church, 15261 E Brewster Rd, Covington, at 1 p.m.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Memorial Fund at Citizens Bank in Abita Springs.

Ado Joseph Rogers, of Covington, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was 75 years old.
He was born on October 20, 1938 in Blond, La. to Ado Rogers and Catherine Rogers.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Deloras Hickman Rogers; son, Samuel Rogers; daughters, Monica Diane Tisdale (Thomas “T.E.”), Marilyn Denise Giovenco (Peter), Daphne Suzanne Watson (Josh); son, Todd P. Shaffett (Melinda); brother, Bobby Rogers; sisters, Yvonne Owens, and Shirley Thibodeaux; grandchildren, Kelly Rogers, Sheri Montgomery, Derrick Spell, Mandy Spell, Tiffany Jourdan, Tarah Tisdale, Taylor Tisdale, Brock Giovenco, Brittany Giovenco, Ashley Reed, Joshua Watson, Ian Shaffett, Caleb Shaffett, and Brennan Shaffett; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father and mother; brothers, Leon Rogers and Everett Rogers; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Sharp Rogers.
Funeral services were held on July 28 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Dennis James “Jimmy” Tisdale passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014.
He was 48 years old.
He was born on December 12, 1965 in Bogolusa, La. to Dennis and Linda (Willis) Tisdale.
Tisdale grew up in Covington and graduated from Covington High School. After high school, he attended Flight Attendant School and made his career with American Airlines.
He is survived by his parents; brother, Johnny Tisdale; sister, Janie Tisdale-Frye and her husband, Roland; and long time friend, Eddie Orellana.
He leaves behind his nephews, Roland and Morgan Frye, Braxdon and Braydon Loyd-Tisdale; and nieces, Katelyn Frye, Heather, Michelle, and Nicole Tisdale.
Funeral services were held on July 27 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Jerry L. Rodrigue passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014.
He was 69 years old.
He was the husband of 42 years to Bonnie Le Blanc Rodrigue; father of Corey M. Rodrigue and Katie L. Rodrigue; son of the late Morris Rodrigue and Leona Breaux; stepson of the late Arnold Breaux; and brother of Raymond Rodrigue, Richard Rodrigue and the late Leroy Rodrigue.
He was a resident of the northshore for 22 years and a parishioner of St. Anselm Catholic Church. He was an employee of Winn-Dixie for 49 years.
A funeral Mass was held on July 28 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, Madisonville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Jerry to be made to Hospice of St. Tammany.

Mary Elizabeth Haynes Hashman passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014.
She was 89 years old.
She was the wife of the late Gilbert I. Hashman; and mother of Linda P. Reinecke, Valerie E. White and the late Steven G. Hashman.
She also leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Hashman was a native of Oxford, England and a resident of Kent, Ohio for many years. She resided in Covington for the past five years.
Services will be at a later date in Kent, Ohio.
