Brianne A. Brown passed away on the morning of Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Pontchartrain Health Care Center, Mandeville.
She was 75 years old.
Born in Chicago, Ill. and for the last 13 years a resident of Mandeville, she was the mother of Susan Kotas (Jeremy) and Gail Marcks (Randall); sister of Rose Albert and Theodore “Ted” Poshwinchuk; and grandmother of Michelle, Elizabeth, Justin, Joe and Brandon.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Lester A. Calvin Sr. passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014.
He was 86 years old.
He was the husband of the late Genevieve Krizek Calvin; father of Lester A. Calvin Jr.; son of the late Florence Vasel Calvin and Russell Calvin; brother of Donald Calvin; grandfather of Les Calvin III, Christopher Calvin, Fred Arch, Wendy Arch and Neva Silva; and great-grandfather of Neva Estela Silva.
He is also survived by his niece, Carla Machen.
Funeral services were at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington, on July 22.

Donald Michael Boyer passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014, in Mandeville.
He was born on September 11, 1927, in New Orleans, to the late Abner and Mazie Dupre Boyer.
Boyer was married to the late Billie Lockhart Boyer for 45 years and together they had three daughters, Jane B. Gallardo, Debbie Boyer, and Pat Waddell (Don). He will be missed by his grandchildren, Buster, Josh (Jamie), and Casey Waddell, Ryan and Amy Gallardo; and great-grandchildren, Jesse, Kailey, Leanne, Jake, and Cason; and by his special friend, Arlene Willie.
He was the brother of June B. Von Dullen (E.J.), the late Helen B. Fletcher, Bob Boyer, Gerry Boyer, and Richie Boyer.
Boyer was a resident of the Windsor Senior Living Community in Mandeville.
A funeral Mass was held on July 19 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home , Covington.

Kimberly Smith Thomas, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014.
She was 52 years old.
Born Sunday, January 14, 1962, in Covington, to the late Sidney Morris Smith Jr. and Helen Verges Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Rowland Hayes Thomas III; step-mother, Kathleen F. Panter Smith; step-sister, Allison Panter; father-in-law, Rowland H. Thomas Jr.; and mother-in-law, Diane Thomas.
Thomas resided in Myrtle Beach, and Sunny Isles, Fla. As a Covington High Cheerleader and LSU graduate, she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority.
Funeral services were held on July 19 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Kathleen Marie Donahue passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2014, in Covington.
She was born on February 28, 1943, in New Orleans to the late John Leo Sr. and Rita de Lesseps Donahue.
She graduated from Dominican High School in 1961 and received a degree in Physical Education from UNO.
Donahue was the mother of Valerie Marie Villars, Victoria (Vicky) Villars Lucas (Jeff) and Aimee’ Elisabeth Milavic (Ivo) and her “adopted” daughter Melissa Bourcq.
She was the grandmother of five grandchildren, Alexandra (Ally) Bruner, Savannah Stanley, Tanner Bruner, Saylor Marie Lucas and the late Dustin Talley; sister of Senator Jack Donahue (Maura), Terry Donahue (Patty), and Patricia Donahue Tweedy (Marvin).
Donahue was a teacher at Our Lady of the Lake in the 70’s. She volunteered her time to Safe Harbor and Save Our Troops.
A memorial Mass was held on July 17 at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd, St Benedict, LA 70457.

Signa Charbonnet Coiron Van Kirk, daughter of the late Jean Francois Charbonnet and Blanche de la Vasselais Charbonnet, and sister of the late Jean Francois Charbonnet Jr., passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Christwood Retirement Community in Covington.
She was 88 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George Alfred Coiron Jr.; and is survived by her five children, George “Jack” A. Coiron Jr. (Mara), Michele Coiron Swartz (Jesse), Signa “Sisi” Coiron Lamothe (Frank), John Joseph Coiron (Carol), Pierre Denis de la Ronde Coiron (Julie), and her six grandchildren, Christopher Peller, George A. Coiron IV, Peter, Paul, Paige and Piper Coiron.
Kirk is also survived by the seven children of her second recently deceased husband, Frank W. Van Kirk Jr., known as Bill, and father of Kathleen Van Kirk, Jay Van Kirk (Lois), William Van Kirk (Jamie), Mark Van Kirk (Alice), Yvonne Van Kirk, Evan Van Kirk (Melia) and Timothy Van Kirk (Julie); his 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Kirk was a graduate of the Isidore Newman School and attended Sophie Newcomb College where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was also a member of the Junior League of New Orleans.
A memorial service was held at Christwood, 100 Christwood Blvd., Covington, on Monday, July 7.

Harry James Reinecke passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014, in Covington. He was born on June 28, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Harry Reinecke and Norma Collas Reinecke Meyer.
He married his wife Linda Hashman Reinecke in 1971 and had four children, Jackie R. Garrison (Rob), Jeffery A. Reinecke (Sharon), Jason S. Reinecke (Amy), and Stacey R. Roane (Jake).
He is survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late, June R. Boehm; and leaves behind a niece, Debbie B. Haynie.
After retirement from Kmart Corporation after over 30 years, Reinecke spent his time playing golf, tending to his yard, and relaxing on the porch in his rocker.
A memorial service was held on July 21 at Waldheim United Methodist Church, 77067 Hwy. 21, Covington.
