Carl Steven Lang passed away on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013.
He was 51 years old.
He is survived by daughter, Caitlin Marie.
He was the son of Gertrude Theresa Landry and preceeded in death by his father, Clarence George Lange.
He is survived by siblings, Cathy Casebonne, Kevin Lang, Clarence Lang Jr., Claire Hingle, and Gail Anderson.
Lang was a native of Morgan City, La. and has lived and worked as a service manager for Nexco, engineering in Nigeria for over 14 years.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, at 1 p.m. with a gathering on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Rowena Marie Reine passed away on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014.
She was 88 years old.
She was the daughter of the late Henrietta Songy Reine and George E. Reine; sister of Margaret LeCarpentier, Stephen Reine, Mearl Schott, Luke Reine and the late George Reine Jr., Isabelle Boudreaux and Alfred Reine.
Reine was a registered nurse and worked at Hotel Dieu and St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a parishioner and a Eucharistic Minister at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Covington.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Thursday, Jan. 23 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4465 Hwy 190 East Service Rd., Covington, at 12 p.m. with visitation at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until mass time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Ms Reine to be made to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Parkinson’s Disease research.

Lynndle Patterson Nuss, of Covington, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, surrounded by family and friends in Mandeville.
She was born in Breckenridge, Texas.
She was 81 years old.
She was the mother of Brenda Nuss Read (Tom), Bruce Nuss (Susan), Nancy Nuss Ferger (Henry), Sharon Nuss Meilleur (Chris) and son-in-law Jeff Marion.
She was the grandmother of 12; and is survived by three great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of James Patterson, USAF Lt. Col. retired (Linda) of San Antonio, TX.
She was predeceased by her father, Joe Milton Patterson; mother, Mary Belle Patterson; son, Robert Nuss Jr.; daughter, Susanne Nuss Marion; grandson, Jared Nuss; and former husband, Robert “Bobby” Nuss Sr.
Lynn was a dedicated nurse, beginning her career at Lakeside Hospital and working in labor and delivery for 36 years, most recently at St. Tammany Hospital where she retired as a Hospice nurse in 2004.
A liturgy of the Word was held on Jan. 20 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Melissa Marie Durbin-Luce passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014.
She was 26 years old.
She was the wife of Derek Wesley Luce; daughter of Dale and Bridget Durbin; and sister of Jonathan Charles Durbin.
She is also survived by grandfather, Charles Doerr Jr.
She was a native of Covington where she attended St. Peter Catholic School and graduated from SSA in 2005. She received her undergraduate degree from LSU and was beginning her third year of Law School at Southern University.
A funeral mass was held on Jan. 20 by Rev. Mike Schatzle and Deacon Albert Ellis at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington.

Doris Hosch Gabriel passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2014.
She was 81 years old.
She was the daughter of the late Florence Doyle Hosch and Henry William Hosch; mother of Leo Gabriel, Terry Gabriel and Charles Gabriel; and sister of Carolyn Reed, Lorraine Waguespack, Donald Hosch and Roland Hosch.
She is also survived by four grandchildren.
Gabriel was a native of New Orleans and a resident of the northshore since 2005 where she was an active longtime volunteer at Lakeview Regional Medical Center.
A funeral mass was held on Jan. 15 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

James R. Benjamin passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014.

He was 97 years old.
He was the husband of the late Thelma Joachim Benjamin; father of Gayle Benjamin Schneider and Dianne Benjamin Bretton; son of the late Fanny Sullivan Benjamin and John Wesley Benjamin; grandfather of five; great-grandfather of six; and brother of the late John Weldon Benjamin, George Albert Benjamin, Louis Eugene Benjamin, Minerva Benjamin Tobler and Fanny Benjamin Lanne.
Benjamin was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington since 2005. He was a WW II Army veteran. He was a second wave survivor at Omaha Beach on D-Day and served with General George S. Patton personally presented him with the Bronze Star and other service medals. He was a founding sponsor of the National WW II Museum in New Orleans. He retired from Falstaff Brewing Co. after 38 years of service.
A funeral mass was held on Jan. 10 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Frank “Skip” Anderson Jones Jr. passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.
He was 53 years old.
He was the son of Frank Sr. and Judy Comeaux Jones; husband of Sherri M. Jones; and father of Roslyn J. Baker, Macie Jones and Somer Jones; brother of Michelle J. Holden, Randy Jones, Brian Jones, Ashley J. Johnson, and Josh Jones.
He was native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Mandeville for the past 25 years.
A funeral service was held on Jan. 9 at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, Mandeville.

George David Probst, Sr. passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, in Covington.
He is the son of German/Austrian immigrants Franz Josef Probst and Emilia Wolf Probst.
He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and was eventually posted in New Orleans, where as a Boatswains Mate First Class he was part of a sub-chasing crew pursuing enemy craft in the Gulf of Mexico in protection of U.S. cargo vessels. He was the first commander of American Legion Post 333, which was comprised mostly of the WWII veterans who settled in Legion Oaks.
He is survived by his brother, Frank Probst of Kansas City, MO; wife of 68 years, Mary Virginia Barbara Probst; children, George D. Probst Jr. of Donaldsonville, La.; Nancy St. Pierre and husband Wayne of Lafayette; Lisa Botzong and husband Bill of Cumming, Ga.; and Greg Probst and wife Jana of Covington. He is survived by nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Jan. 8 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St. Mandeville.
