Ned Ross Wilson, Sr. passed away on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital with his family by his side.
He was 76 years old.
He was born and raised in Eupora, Ms., and lived in the Mandeville/Covington area for 41 years.
He was the husband of Marion Favret Wilson for 44 years; father of Ned R. Wilson Jr. and his wife Clara, and the late Brett Joseph Wilson; and brother of Wanda Rossi, Vida Roy, Nancy Roy, Louis Roy and the late Robert Roy; and grandfather of Cameron and Cayden.
Services were held on Jan. 10 at First Baptist Church, Mandeville.
Serenity Funeral Home, Covington in charge of arrangements.
Doris Hosch Gabriel passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2014.
She was 81 years old.
She was the daughter of the late Florence Doyle Hosch and Henry William Hosch; mother of Leo Gabriel, Terry Gabriel and Charles Gabriel; and sister of Carolyn Reed, Lorraine Waguespack, Donald Hosch and Roland Hosch.
She is also survived by four grandchildren.
Gabriel was a native of New Orleans and a resident of the northshore since 2005 where she was an active longtime volunteer at Lakeview Regional Medical Center.
A funeral mass was held on Jan. 15 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Lawrence “Larry” Emile Hartman passed away in Mandeville on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

He was 75 years old.
Hartman was born to Henry William Joseph and Antoinette Henrietta Haro Hartman in New Orleans.
He was the husband of Margaret Bennett Hartman; father of Michael L. Hartman, Adrienne H. Gilliland, Kristen H. Soehnlein, and Wendy B. Treadway; grandchildren, Tanya M. Gilliland, Angelle E. Gilliland, Gillian E. Treadway, Abigail M. Soehnlein, and Cooper J. Treadway; and great-grandchildren, Timothy C. Huhn and Trinity R. Barrios.
He was the brother of Althea L. Bosche, James J. Hartman, Eleanor A. Dunlop, Albert P. Hartman, Elise B. Smith, the late Henry W. Hartman, Margaret K. Orgeron, Stanley I. Hartman, Jenny C. Lutrell, and Rose V. Payne.
He served as a member of the United States Army National Guard for eight years. He attained the rank of Sergeant and was Special Forces Green Beret. He worked as a communications technician for Shell Oil Company for 30 years. During his time at Shell, he moved his family to Douala, Cameroon in West Africa for three years with Shell Pecten International.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6870 in Terrytown where he served as Grand Knight in 1999. After moving to the Northshore in 2004, he became a Fourth Degree Knight and Faithful Comptroller with the Rev. Harry J. Tompson, S.J. Assembly in Mandeville.
A funeral mass was held on Jan. 13 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 20370 Smith Rd., Covington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests masses at St. Benedict Catholic Church.

Carol Ann Setze Mele Pigott passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, with her children at her side.
She was the fourth daughter of Jules and Ida Setze.
From her first marriage, she had two children, Lisa and Mallery.
She was a member of the Junior League in Picayune, Ms. Recently, Carol Ann became a resident of Forest Manor Nursing Home and also attended New Beginnings Church and was proud to be a Christian.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jules and Ida Setze; sister, Verna Eckert; infant brother, Jules Setze Jr.; and first husband, Mal Mele.
Her survivors include sisters, Beverly Russell and Marilyn Soniat; daughter, Lisa McCollum; son, Mallery Mele; daughter in-law, Tammy Prather Mele; grandchildren, Christina McCollum, Glenn and Catherine McCollum Davis, Amanda, Morgan, Mallery, and Matthew Mele; and great-granddaughter, Hartley Davis.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 12 at New Beginnings Church, 19219 N. 4th St. (corner of N. 4th and Hwy 190), Covington.

Joyce Wyman Corbidge passed away on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014 in Covington.
She was 75 years old.
She was the wife of the late William Raymond Corbidge Sr.; mother of William Raymond Corbidge Jr.(Jennifer), Alison Larsen (Chris), and the late Susan Anne Corbidge; and grandmother of Matthew Larsen and Margaret Larsen.
A memorial service was held on Jan. 14 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Litha Willene Jet Rogers passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 in Covington.
She was the daughter of Evelyn Harmon McMillan.
She is survived by sons, Donald J. Rogers Jr. (Sheryl) and Marty A. Rogers (Lien); friend and former husband, Donald J. Rogers Sr.; sister, Joan Griffin; brother, Billy Joe Jet; and grandchildren, Mitchell, Isabella and Marissa Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Greenberry Jet; sisters, Naomi Smith and Jackie Jet; and brother, Keith Jet.
Funeral sevices were held on Jan. 12 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Barbara Dodd Capdevielle Minnick passed away on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014.
She was 90 years old.
She was the widow of the late Christian T. Capdevielle Jr. and the late John Bradley Minnick.
She is survived by children, Barbara Capdevielle Matthews (Ben), Willard Christian Capdevielle (Fran), Catherine Capdevielle Musso (Brian) and Thomas Paul Charles Capdevielle (Cindy); step-children, Lindy Minnick, Trish Klayer, Barbie Gibson, and Donald Minnick; grandchildren, Juliette Capdevielle, Ben Matthews IV, Christian B. Capdevielle, Jennifer Matthews O’Brien, and Jessica Capdevielle; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held on Jan. 13 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.
Amelia Simmons Coghlan passed away on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, in Covington.
She was the wife of Reginald V. Coghlan II.
She is survived by daughter, Lauren Coghlan Tucker (Michael); and grandchildren; Reagan Tucker Charleston (Jeff), Ryan M. and Reina R. Tucker;
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Simmons; and sister, Marilyn Simmons Williamson.
She worked as an illustrator for the U.S. Air Force Air Grounds School in North Carolina and in Ramstein, Germany. She worked for Chrysler Corp. in the Apollo Space Program and then began her lifelong career as a painter and sculptor with her husband, Reginald, as owners of The Napoleon Gallery and Coghlan Gallery at The Court of The Lions in the French Quarter.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 12 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.
