Margaret “Peggy” Roos Williams, of Abita Springs, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014.
She was born in Silver Spring, MD to the late Arthur and Sheila O’Leary Roos.
Williams married Rodney Gene Williams and together they had two children, Heather and Dustin and his wife Allix Williams. She also has two grandchildren, Evelyn and Alan Williams.
She was the sister of Patty R. Pellerin and husband, Rodney; Marion R. Heatherman and husband, Jim; Ronnie Roos and wife, Connie; Quentin Roos and wife, Bridgett; and the late Kathy Roos.
A funeral service was held on Feb. 22 at Trinity Baptist Church, Abita Springs.

Philip A. Petersen Jr. passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014.
He was 56 years old.
He was born in New Orleans and resided in the Covington area.
He was the husband of Donna Alcorn Petersen for 31 years; father to Leslie (Jimmie) Harmon and Adam Petersen; son of Philip Petersen Sr. and the late Sylvia Landry Petersen.
He is survived by siblings, Adolph (Dolphie), Melissa (Allan) Anthon, Michelle Petersen and Michael (Kelly) Petersen; son-in-law of Joe and Jan Alcorn; and brother-in-law to Joey (Lesley) and Avril Sons.
Memorial services will be held at Bagnell & Son, 75212 Lee Road, on March 1, starting at 9 a.m. with services at 11 a.m.

Carmen Ruiz Giglione passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014.
She was 86 years old.
She was the wife of the late Jack Wilson Giglione; mother of Janet Manint (Louis Joseph), Raymond Giglione (Karen), Richard Giglione, and Mark Giglione (Joan, deceased); daughter of the late Lillian Bellau Ruiz and Ambrose Ruiz; sister of Alan Ruiz, Paul Ruiz, and two brothers, the late David Ruiz and the late Richard Ruiz; grandmother of Eryn Manint, Ryan Giglione, Paul Giglione, Lindsay Giglione, Benjamin Giglione, Joshua Giglione, and Alexander Giglione; and great-grandmother of Zoe Joubert, Vayle Giglione, Zachary Joubert, Oliver Giglione and Gretta Giglione.
She was a native of New Orleans and lived in Mandeville since 1954 and was a faithful congregant of the Our Lady of the Lake Church community. She was a long time member New Orleans Weavers’ Guild.
All funeral services are private with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Giglione to be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of choice.

John Taylor Watson III, of Mandeville, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014.
He was 30 years old.
He was born to John Taylor Watson Jr. and Mary Lodygowski Andersson.
He is survived by his sister, Jessica Marie Watson; step-mother, Maggi Gates Watson; step-father, Mikael Andersson; and aunt, Susan Dirmiekis.
A?celebration of life was held on Feb. 23 at Gazebo on the Mandeville Lakefront, 2160 Lakeshore Dr., Mandeville.

Carol L. Blanton, of Madisonville, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014.
She was 71 years old.
She was born on October 18, 1942, in New Orleans, to Salvador Latuso Sr. and Ethel Gray Latuso.
She was the mother of Tina B. Cross (Edward J.) and Kenneth L. Blanton (Beth D.); grandmother of Kane G. Lacoste, Christina R. Cross, and Margaret F. Blanton; great-grandmother of London F. Lacoste; and sister of Margaret L. Moore-Warren, Salvadore T. Latuso Jr., and Rucker J. Latuso.
A Liturgy of the Word was held on Feb. 24 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.
