Dave C. Punch Jr. passed away on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014.
He was 76 years old.
He was the husband of Jeannine DuBois Punch; father of David W. Punch, Robert A. Punch (Morie) and Glenn C. Punch (Eva); step-father of Steven Brocklehurst (Susan) and Cathy Flemington (Erik); and brother of Joy Panks.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, Irene Chambliss and Dave C. Punch Sr.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 19 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Punch to be made to St. Tammany Parish Hospital Hospice or Bedico Baptist Church.

Joseph Roy Hightower, of Madisonville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014.
He was 63 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Hightower; son, Matthew Hightower, Daughters Teresa Kennedy, and Christini Ingram; mother, Floy Anne McKenzie; brothers, Gary Hightower and Larry Hightower; sister, Darby Brown; grandchildren, Grayson and Gabrielle Hightower, Skylar and Ashlan Broadus and Fallon Kennedy.
He was predeceased by his father, Roy A. Hightower.
A funeral service was held on Feb. 19 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Sam J. Abney passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014.
He was 63 years old.
He was the husband of Terri Larsen Abney; father of Scott J. Abney and Tracy Abney Kendrick (Barret); son of the late Roy and Marie Abney; brother of Patricia Abney Gele, Gayle Abney Keller and the late Robert Abney; and grandfather of Larsen Kendrick and Shaw Kendrick.
Abney was a native of New Orleans and a resident of the northshore for the past 27 years.
Memorial services were held on Feb. 15 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Mr. Abney to be made to the American Heart Association.

Linda Snider Robinson Stockton passed away on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014.
She was 72 years old.
She was the wife by first marriage to the late George A. Robinson, and by second marriage to Gerald W. Stockton; daughter of the late Numa Snider and Billie B. Champagne Snider of Waveland, Ms; mother of John David Robinson (Linda) of League City, TX and Dwight Keith Robinson (Elaine) of Covington; stepmother to Michael Stockton (Sherri) of Staley, NC, Dana Robinson of Ash Flat, AR, Kerrie Lynn White of Fairfield Bay, AR and the late Paul Kelly Robinson of Baton Rouge; and sister of Sue Snider Leblanc (Steve), Sharon Snider Nunez (Harry) and Mary Beth Snider.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
She was a native of Norco, La. and graduate of St. Scholastica High School and Soule’ Business School. She was a member of the Covington H2U group.
Memorial services were held on Feb. 17 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Mrs. Stockton to be made to the Breast Cancer Society.

Willie Richard Snyder, of Lacombe, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014.
He was 81 years old.
He was survived by his wife, Vondarene Snyder; sons, Dennis Snyder (Ellen) and Dallas Snyder (Kathy); brother, Wayne Snyder; sister, Darlene Gieg; eight grandchildren, 11 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father, Richard Snyder; mother, Alma Lillian Snyder; and sister, Carolyn Sizemore.
He graduated from Laconia High School in Indiana. He was a minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a Home Builder and Milkman. He belonged to the Lacombe, Louisiana Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a former member of the New Albany, Indiana Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
A funeral service was held on Feb. 8 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Calvin?John Minor Sr. passed away on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014.
He was 86 years old.
He was married to the late Evelyn Rose Basart for 45 years; and was the father of Wanda Jean, Calvin Jr., (C.J.) (Mary) Melanie Ann Minor, (Coyle) (P.J.), and Colleen Rose.
He has grandchildren, (Wanda’s) Brandi, (Matt) Christian, Erik, (Cynthia), (C.J.’s) Kelly, (Pete) Katie, Brennan, (Melanie’s) Shawn, (Bryan) Shannon, Sharon, (Colleen’s) Isabel, Renee, and Juliana; and great grandchildren, (Brandi’s) Alexandrea, the late Koda, (Erik’s) Ryan, Heidi, (Kelly’s) Caroline, (Shawn’s) Connor, Olivia, (Shannon’s) Rylie, and Haydin.
He was the son of William John Minor Jr. and Vera Bauder Minor.
Minor was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls high School where he lettered in every sport. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he was in charge of the armory during his enlistment.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 13 at First English Lutheran church, 3701 Cleary Ave., Metairie.

Regina McCarthy passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, in Mandeville.
She was 91 years old.
She married the late Harrison McCarthy and together they had four children, Douglas McCarthy, Richard McCarthy, Audrey M. Walls, and the late Gloria M. Seal.
She has 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two brothers and six sisters. She was predeceased by three sisters.
A funeral mass was held on Feb. 15 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St, Mandeville.
