Thomas Clark Barringer, of Covington, passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014.
He was 70 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Barringer; son, Jarrett “Jess” W. Ketchum; daughters, Donnina “Doni” Ketchum Hubert (John), and Karen Barringer Taylor; grandsons, Jarrett Clark Ketchum, Gregory Allen Ketchum (Patricia), Zane Ross Ketchum, Andrew John Hubert (Brittany), and Zachary Pierce Taylor, Granddaughters Madeline Patrice Hubert, and Rachel Taylor Senez (Donald III); nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Allen, Calvin, Donald, Robert “Bobby,” Wayne, Dennis and Arlen Barringer; ans sister, Rita Jenkins.
He was predeceased by his father, William Pierce Barringer; mother, Muriel Lucille Barringer; brothers, Harold, Jerome and Howard Barringer; and sister, Muriel Stappler.
He was a graduate of Slidell High School, attended LSU and retired from Southern Natural Gas and a Sales Representative for Pipeline Construction and Maintenance Co. (PCM).
A funeral service was held on Feb. 12 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., Covington.

Calvin John Minor Sr. passed away on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014.
He was 86 years old.
He was married to the late Evelyn Rose Basart for 45 years, and was the father of Wanda Jean, Calvin “C.J.” Jr., (Mary) Melanie Ann Minor, (Coyle) (P.J.), and Colleen Rose.
He was the son of William John Minor Jr., and Vera Bauder Minor.
Minor was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls high School where he lettered in every sport and brought victory to the school’s name. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he was in charge of the armory during his enlistment.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 13 at First English Lutheran church, 3701 Cleary Ave., Metairie, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral services will start at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, make all donations to First English Lutheran Church.

Louis Harold Schultz, a retired attorney and member of the Louisiana Bar Association, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014.
He was 73 years old.
He was the husband by first marriage to the late Barbara Legier Schultz, and by second marriage to Dolores Paysse Schultz.
He was the father of Monica Peterson (Craig) of Daphne, Ala., Germaine Kearney (Charles) of Pass Christian, Ms.; and Vanessa Studdard (Brandon) of Summit, Ms.; and son of the late Henrietta Vorbusch and Alton Schultz. Brother of Lois Dale and Alton Schultz Jr.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Schultz was a graduate of Fortier High School, LSUNO and Loyola Law School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Berlin Crisis. He was a founding member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He was a founder of the Crescent City Model Railroad Club, and was a life member of the National Railroad Association as well as a member of Chesapeake and Ohio Historical Society.
A memorial service was held on Feb. 11 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Wanda Fay Raines, of Westwego, La., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at The Sanctuary at Passages Hospice in New Orleans.
She was 58 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Meshell F. Raines Jr.; mother, Cara Liverett; sons, David R. Raines (Nikki), and Joshua D. Raines (Annette); granddaughters, Celise Raines and Vaida Raines; grandsons Joshua D. Raines Jr., and John Raines; and sisters, Charlotte Liverett Eiselen and Pamela Liverett.
She was predeceased by her father, Murl Liverett.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m.
Visitation will be on Friday from 5:30 until 9 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time.

Frank X. Resendez Jr. passed away on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, surrounded by his family at his residence in Slidell.
He is the son of Frank X. Resendez and his late mother Doris (Dee) S. Resendez; father of Tiffany Resendez Wimberly and Joseph Paillot IV; and father-in-law of Eric S. Wimberly.
He is survived by his brother, Jesse Resendez (Yvonne); sister, Lynn Resendez Holmes (Jay); and Paw Paw to David Allen Wimberly, Hailey Jane Wimberly, Mason Michael Wimberly.
A Catholic memorial service was held on Feb. 12 at Serenity Funeral Home, Covington.

Lurlean “Mickie” Mickenheim Houk passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
She was an employee of Dr. Robert Grieshaber of the Dermatology Clinic of St. Tammany for 26 years.
She is survived by sons, Travis, Stephen, Paul, Chuck and his wife Suzunne; daughter, Laurie Aydell; and 10 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Preston T. Houk Sr.; mother and father, Adelaide B. Mickenheim and Herman Lawrence Mickenheim; and sister, Rita Mae Mickenheim Correa all of Abita Springs.
A funeral mass was held on Feb. 11 at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, Abita Springs.

Mearl Ann Reine Schott, a retired school teacher, passed away on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014.
She was 83 years old.
She was the wife of Frederick B. Schott; mother of Mary Kliebert (Tom Jr.), Judith Steiner (David), Linda Credo (Brian), Cecilia Medai (Tom), Frederick A. Schott (Jackie) and the late Daniel Schott; daughter of the late Henrietta Songy Reine and George E. Reine; sister of Margaret LeCarpentier (Louis), Stephen Reine (Bernice), Luke Reine (Doris) and the late Rowena Reine, George Reine Jr. (Anne), Isabelle Boudreaux (Floyd) and Alfred Reine (Bea); and grandmother of Kate, Nicole, Thomas, Paul, Matthew, Michael, Brian, Kevin, Camille and Evelyn.
Schott was a parishioner at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Covington.
A funeral mass was held on Feb. 11 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Covington.

Rosemary “Rosie” O’Ragan passed away on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014.
She was 84 years old.
She was the wife of the late Robert Finley O’Ragan; mother of Robert Ronald O’Ragan and Patricia O’Ragan Harrell; daughter of the late Alice Mailhos and Gus Mailhos; sister of the late Marie LaLonde and Gus Mailhos; grandmother of Derick O’Ragan, Courtney Stermer, Brandi Lobello and Dana Foret; and great-grandmother of Lance Stermer, Alana Foret, Rylee O’Ragan, Alex Stermer, Tom Lobello IV, Kaylee Lobello and Rawson O’Ragan.
She was a lifelong resident of Covington.
All funeral services are private with interment in Garden of the Pines Cemetery.
