Lorraine Larsen Brown passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, in Covington.
She was a native of New Orleans and was born Saturday, August 6, 1927, and was the only child of her late mother, Louise Riess Esneault and was loved by her late step-father, Sidney Esneault. Her father, Joseph Larsen, precedes her in death.
She was the wife of the late Charles LeRoy Brown.
She is survived by sons, Charles Brown Sr. and Curtis Brown (Sabrina); grandchildren, Vanessa Brown Rodriguez (Ross), Charles S. Brown Jr. (Marlene) and Lori Brown Serpas (Randy Sr.); and great-grandchildren, Adair Rodriguez, Garrett Brown, Courtney Brown, Randy Serpas Jr., Riess Serpas and Remy Serpas.
Memorial services to celebrate Brown’s life were held privately at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington.

William “Norman” Franks passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014.
He was 92 years old.
He was the husband of the late Pauline Franks; father of Paula F. Chifici (Paul) and the late William C. Franks Sr.; son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Franks; brother of Geraldine Hamilton, Doris Swand, Raleigh “Buddy” Franks and the late Curtis Franks, Lucille Rich and Shirley Jean Strickland; and grandfather of William C. Franks Jr. and Andrea Franks.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial services on Thursday, Feb. 6 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington at 12 p.m. with visitation on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Shirley Berry Galliano passed away on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014.
She was 88 years old.
She was the wife of the late Milton A. Galliano Sr.; mother of Bonnie Pfeiffer, Cheryl Galliano, Paul Galliano and the late Milton Galliano Jr. and Karl Galliano; and daughter of the late Josaphine Hichter Berry and Octave Berry Sr.
She was a native of Metairie and a resident of Abita Springs since 1986.

Evelyn Powers passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014.
She was 91 years old.
She was born in Hogeye, Arkansas, on August 29, 1922.
She is survived by her husband, Will, whom she married in Biloxi, Mississippi, in 1943 while he was serving in the Army. She spent much of her life in Bakersfield, California and moved to Covington in 1994 to be with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband; four children, Brenda Barnes, Phyllis Penland, Will Powers Jr., and David Powers; and eight grandchildren, Todd Penland, Traci Penland, Dawn Ambrose, Kristin Peterson, Michael McKenzie, Allison Cheatwood, Matthew Powers, and Tori Powers. She was great-grandmother of seven.
She and Will were always active in the Church of Christ most recently with the North Pointe congregation in Covington.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 3 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

John Paul Landry passed away in his home in Mandeville on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, after a lengthy battle with kidneydisease.
He was 60 years old.
Landry was born in New Orleans, raised in Slidell, and was the oldest of five children. He graduated from St. Paul’s School in 1971 and married his high school sweetheart Ellen Marie Gibson in 1976. He had two daughters, Lindsey Elizabeth and Lise’ Nicole Landry.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Landry; daughters, Lindsey Edmond and Lise’ Joffrion; and four grandchildren, Anthony John Edmond III “Jack,” Grace Edmond, Paul Edmond, and William Edmond.
He was predeceased by his parents, Onesipe Paul and Patricia Delhomme Landry.
A funeral mass was held on Feb. 3 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary Street, Madisonville.

Henry Douglas “Doug” Bacon IV passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014.
He was 54 years old.
He was the husband of Karel Bacon; father of Christine Mandina, Caroline Bacon and Lindsey Bacon; step-father of Erin Thompson and Emmet Gonzales; son of Allene Patterson Bacon and the late Henry Douglas Bacon III; brother of Linda Koerner, Debra Covington and Renee Thompson; and grandfather of Lesley Dodd, Caden Lowe, Carter Lowe and Giuliana Mandina.
He was a Lt. Commander in the U.S. Power Squadron, a resident of Covington and was an avid duck hunter.
All services are private.

Laura Chatellier Zuber passed away on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at her home in Madisonville.
She was the wife of the late Henry “Hank” Zuber of 27 years; sister of Ralph David Chatellier, the late Wesley Maur Chatellier and Grady Hoffman Chatellier; and aunt to Butch, Linda and Wesley, Charles and Maury, Lyndell, Edmond, and Michael Chatellier.
A lifelong resident of Madisonville, she was a retired beautician. During World War II, she worked at Higgins Shipyard building parts in support of the war effort. She was a beautiful ballroom dancer and artist.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 3 at Madisonville Presbyterian Church, 705 Pine Street, Madisonville,.
