Amelia Pajares Dalferes passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, with her family at her side.
She was born in New Orleans and lived on the North Shore since 1976. Dalferes was a lifetime member and Chaplain of Lacombe VFW Post 8920 Women’s Auxillary, Member of TOPS, Slidell and the Lacombe Senior Center.
She was the wife of the late Charles F. Dalferes Sr. for 65 years; mother of Charlotte M. Patten, Diane Dalferes; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Dalferes and the late Charles F. Dalferes Jr.; sister of Robert Pajares; grandmother of Emmett Patten (Cathy), Charles F. Dalferes III (Erin), and Brian Dalferes; great-grandmother of Stephanie Nipper (Eugene), Benjamin, Kaitlyn, Joseph, Brady and Nicholas Dalferes; and great-great-grandmother of Gabrielle and Amelia Nipper.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the VFW Post 8920, Lacombe or memorial masses in her honor at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Lacombe.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 28088 Main St., Lacombe, on Thursday, April 3 at 11 a.m. Visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until Mass time.
Family and friends welcome to gather after Mass at the VFW Post 8920, next to the church.

Vivian Lee Escalante Morlier passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014.
She was 87 years old.
She was the wife of the late Stewart E. Morlier; mother of Stewart E. Morlier III (Barbara), Wayne C. Morlier (Jeanie), and the late Peggy Morlier Welch (Mark); daughter of the late Odeal Prevost Escalante and Vincent Escalante; sister of the late Irene Escalante Noote; grandmother of Stewart E. Morlier IV (Kristen), Wayne C. Morlier Jr. (Chris), Julie Morlier Baham (Bruce), David M. Morlier (Dusty), Paul M. Morlier (Yvette), D. J. Ledet Jr. (Erin); and great-grandmother of Stewart V, Helen, Kristen, Nathan, Corryn, Lincoln, Mya, Kason, Chloe, and Bella.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the American Heart Association.
Funeral services were held on March 31 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.

Gail S. Lemane passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, in Baton Rouge, LA.
She was 74 years old.
She was born on October 4, 1939, in New Orleans to the late Robert and Lucette Maillho Sander.
She was married to Arthur C. Lemane Jr., and together they had seven children, Elizabeth L. Davis, Lynda L. Crockett (Gary), Arthur C. Lemane III, Kathleen L. Core (Patrick), Victor E. Lemane, Jennifer L. Leonard (Scott), and Michael J. Lemane (Keri).
She is also survived by 20 grandchildren.
She was also the sister of Robert P. Sander and the late Donald Sander.
A funeral service was held on March 29 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covinton.

Shelby Jean Haygood Stampley passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, in Covington where she resided for the past 27 years with her husband of 50 years, Joseph R. Stampley.
She was born on August 16, 1938, in Liberty, Ms. to Louis C. and Zola K. Haygood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and first husband, James E. Gibson Jr.
She is survived by son, Randall L. Gibson (Debra) of Chesapeake, Va.; and daughter, Gwen Stampley Poole (Kevin) of Belle Chasse, La.; grandsons, Billy and Ian Gibson, and Cody Poole; and granddaughter, Kara Poole.
She is also survived by sister, Bettie H. Causey (Ike) of Mobile, Ala.; and nephew, Russ C. Causey (Jennifer) of Baltimore, MD.
She is a member of First Baptist Church of Covington and the Deborah Bible Study Class. She is a retired medical transcriber having worked for Northlake Surgical approximately 25 years.
A funeral service was held on March 25 at First Baptist Church of Covington.

John Harold Quave passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014.
He was 74 years old.
He was the husband of the late Ramona Grace Quave; and son of the late Anna and Horace Quave. Brother of Louis Quave (June), James Quave, Stanley Quave (Gayle) and Diane Quave Fitzmorris (Stanley).

Blanche Marange Schlenker passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014, at her home in Covington.
She was born in Mandeville to Ludovic and Gussie Quave Marange.
She is survived by daughters, Melissa Schlenker and Yvette S. Galpin (Jeffery); four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Blanche was the sister of the late Ophelia A. Marange and Veronica M. Martinez.
