Jonathan “Jon” Wilson passed away on March 29, 2014, in Mandeville.
He was 34 years old.
Born in New Orleans, La., lived in Boise, Idaho and the Northshore area for most of his life. He was an employee of SCP, Pool Corp, Covington.
He was the husband of Ashley Meiners Wilson; father of Devyn and Wyatt Wilson; son of Cameron Morton, Jeff Wilson, and Marie Haddad; step-mother, Sandy Wilson.
A mass was held on April 5 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Mandeville.

Janet Shepherd Pfister, of Covington, passed away on Sunday April 6, 2014, at University Hospital in New Orleans.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alvin and Annette Shepherd.
She is survived by husband, James Roy Pfister; children, Judith Maureen, William Edwin, and Erin Patricia Pfister; grandson, Zachary Shepherd Pfister; and sisters, Mary Lynn Shepherd Andrews, Susan Shepherd Ridgeway.
She is predeceased by a son, Alvin Shepherd Pfister.
She was a grade-school teacher after graduating from Louisiana State University in 1954 until her retirement. She earned her Master’s degree in elementary education, and taught reading to many children after school hours.
She and husband Roy moved to Covington in the early 70s and she became an active partner in an antique shop there and remained so until her death. She was a former president of the St. Tammany Art Association, and her husband is a prominent Northshore artist. She was presented as a Maid in the Balls of Hermes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 10 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington.
Visitation will be held at the church on April 10 from 10 to 11 a.m.
A reception will follow at The St. Tammany Art Association, 320 N. Columbia St, Covington.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Samaritan Center or St. Francis Animal Sanctuary.

Michael David “Mickey” McGill Sr., of Abita Springs, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014, at his residence after a brief battle with cancer.
He was 64 years old.
McGill was born January 25, 1950, at Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, and was raised in Waveland, Ms.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Evelyn Turcotte; and two granddaughters, Justine Marie and Dorian Chastain Hooper.
McGill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janine S. McGill; daughters, Lisa McGill Lafontaine (Michael), and Michelle McGill Edwards (Ray); sons, Rory Luke Chappelle (Sara), and Michael David McGill Jr. (Stacey); 16 grandchildren, Dustin, Braxton, Marina, Joshua, Jordan, Mikki, Kyle, Keegan, Ashleigh, Taylor, Trenton, Trever, Amelia, Allison, Abbey, and Ava; and two great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Madelynn.
McGill graduated from Bay High School in Waveland, Ms., and worked for Cain Construction as a Master Craftsman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 10 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 10 from 10 a.m. until service time.

LeRoy Thomas Stone, of Covington, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Forest Manor Nursing Home.
He was 90 years old.
He was born on Wednesday, November 21, 1923, in Minneapolis, MN to the late Ernest Nels Stone and Ruth Christensen Stone.
She is survived by his sons, Sheldon Thomas Stone, Robert Craig Stone, James Lee Stone, and Douglas Edward Stone; 13 grandchildren; and 30 greatgrandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Norma Dougherty Stone; brother, Oliver Stone; and sisters, Naomi Stanley, and Trudi Bradley.
A funeral service was held on April 4 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington.
