SULPHUR — After a convincing win over Runnels last week, the Lady Hawks of Archbishop Hannan are set to take on St. Charles in the quarterfinals round of the Division III postseason.
The game is scheduled to get underway April 28 at Frasch Park in Sulphur. The first pitch is slated to be thrown at noon.
Hannan is the fifth-seeded team in the tournament while St. Charles enters the contest as the division’s fourth-ranked squad.
In their playoff game last week, the Lady Hawks had little trouble in disposing of Runnels.
The game lasted just three innings before it was called due to the mercy rule. Archbishop Hannan won the contest by a score of 19-0.
St. Charles, meanwhile, took on Thomas Jefferson, the 13th-seeded team, and it cruised to an 11-3 win to advance to Friday’s quarterfinals battle.
