THIBODAUX — Caitlyn Rose Carroll finished her career at Nicholls State University where she played softball for the Lady Colonels.
A graduate of Lakeshore High School in Mandeville, Louisiana, Caitlyn
lettered in softball for the Titans and received first-team all-district in 2011.
She was named all-district MVP in her last two seasons and a three-time team MVP who graduated with honors.
In her freshman season, she started at first base in 14 of 17 games played. She hit .220 with nine hits, two doubles, six RBIs and drew four walks.
Her sophomore season saw her appearing in 17 games with 10 starts. She finished with a .229 batting average recording eight hits with three doubles, seven RBIs and six runs scored. She also drew one walk, put down two sacrifices and was 1-of-1 in stolen bases.
In her junior year she appeared in eight games and hit .333 with two singles in six at-bats. She drove in a run against Jackson State and had singles against Mississippi Valley State and JSU.
In her senior year, she had 15 starts with 52 at-bats and 11 hits. She scored four runs with seven RBI’s, two doubles, four walks, one stolen base and struck out 12 times. She finished with a .212 batting average.
She is the daughter of Danny and Robin Carroll and an older brother, Matthew.
Caitlyn is majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
